"Brace for Rationing" - Food Crisis Escalates.

Ice Age Farmer brought this to my attention and now I am passing this information on to you. You can see it for your selves here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F6ilTV3rpY&t=2s

What are you doing to prepare for the food shortages that are already here? Do you have enough food stored up to last your family 6 months to a year? What about water, medication, medical supplies, feminine products, diapers, seeds, pet food, gas, lighter, matches and so on? Do you have a water source near by, do you have wood available in your area in-case you need to start a fire to cook and stay warm?

So much to think about, where do you start? Their is no good answer, but to JUST START.

Buy a couple extra cans of food every time you go to the store. Build it up slowly, start with an extra weeks worth of food. Then two weeks, a month, three months, then six months. Before long you will have enough for a year.

The key is to only buy what you and your family will actually eat or use. Just because it's on sale, doesn't mean you have to buy it, because it will just set on your shelves and go bad. And then you just wasted money that could have gone towards food your family will eat. Look for sales, are you using coupons? You should be.

Here is a link to print coupons: https://www.coupons.com/ 89% of the overall population uses coupons when shopping at supermarkets. Don't forget about the digital coupons that your stores offer as well as many other businesses.

Learn how to can your own food, dehydrate and freeze food for long term food storage. You can find a ton of videos on how to do these things on YouTube. It's a great source of information. Utilize it.

Dollar Tree used to be one of the cheapest places to get food and household items. Now that the price has increased to $1.25, they are no longer one of the cheapest stores. Aldi and Walmart are now the cheapest stores to shop at. Kroger and affiliates have amazing sales through out the year, including 10 for 10 sales. Meijer is now doing "Dollar Days". Pare the sales with coupons for an even better stock up price.

Check your area for an Amish store, they have the best prices for spices and so much more. Check to see if your area has a "discounted grocery store" as well, along with a "discounted bread store." Most people don't know about these stores because they do not advertise.

Utilize food banks/pantries in your area. They are there to help you. If you can't find one, look up "food banks near me." Look out for "tiny pantries" in your town. They are starting to pop up all over the US. People are putting up homemade pantries in their front yards to help those in need. If you have items you don't want or aren't using, swap them out for items you do need at these "tiny pantries". Donate items you're not using for items you need. Everyone helping everyone. It's a win, win!

We have been given a warning, to prepare, stock up on thing that our families will need.

Proverbs 21:20 "The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down."

Proverbs 28:19 “Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty”

1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

Prepare and get what your family needs, DO NOT hoard. The Lord will provide, that is why it is written in the Bible to prepare for times ahead, such as these, but do not take from others. Do not take more than you and your family will need.

Hosea 4:6 "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children."

Be wise, do your research. Know ahead of time for what is coming. If you are prepared, you won't have to be out there fighting and stealing with the unprepared. You will be safe in your home with your family.

Here are some YouTubers I follow that create $5.00 meals for large families. They also do grocery budgeting and many other things.

If you have anything to add to this, please leave it in the comment section below. We would love to know your thoughts.

God Bless!
